Despite having psychology and weight training classes on my slate today, I just couldn't get my sorry self to sleep.
Maybe I was still too excited from SJSU's thrilling 70-67 win over Utah State a few hours before. Maybe I got a little too pumped over a couple of rousing games of NCAA Football 2007 on the PlayStation 2. But for whatever reason, I found myself, at 5 a.m., using StumbleUpon with the hopes of discovering some random entertainment.
If you don't know, StumbleUpon is a downloadable program for your internet browser that allows you to randomly "stumble" on websites based on your preset interests, or based on pages that other StumbleUpon users with similar settings like.
So, at some point in my Stumbling, I was linked to a YouTube video of a gal playing ukulele and singing "Keep Fishing" by Weezer. I have to admit that I was pretty freaking impressed with her. She's a very good singer and the fact that her videos are simply her playing a ukulele, along with spliced-in segments of her singing backup vocals to make the performance incredibly smooth, makes me a fan.
Her name is Julia Nunes and you should definitely check out at least a few of her videos.
